Not really commenting on whether Altman got paid enough or not, but “well he’s not fucking homeless” isn’t really a sensible argument in any conversation about compensation.

Also:
Quieter than Silence are sublime, they have several shows on Youtube and they’re all different with different guest musicians and they’re all amazing.
and
Özgür Baba - Dertli Dolap, Çay Taşıand this full show: at the Franciscan Church.
Ooh I really like this one and the Le Lab Virgin Radio one, especially Opposite Ways. So much better than the album versions.
Off the top of my head: Parliament Funkadelic - The Mothership Connection, Live In Houston 1976.
That’s my go to. An amazing show and never fails to get me in a good mood or cheer me up. Parliament Funkadelic is magic.

That was a disappointing Where’s Waldo the Nazi. Everyone is either clapping or some shit. Waste of time. At least the dude with the roasted chicken for a hat was fun. 1/5 don’t recommend.
It’s insane how abruptly things went from “Don’t share any information, online, especially anything personal” to “You must be a suspicious person or a criminal if you’re not on the net with your real name, face and everything about your life” in the advent of Facebook et al.
The Grand Wazoo is Zappa’s best album in my opinion, never get tired of it. One of the few albums that has been absolutely life altering.
Oh, haha, now that I listen to this song once you’ve said that I can hear that. Check out the ‘Maaäet’ (Earth mother) album, it’s their masterpiece. They used to be a lot darker and folkier and less post rocky. Which is fine really. Their singer has a deep, low singing voice usually, not sure if he sings on this one. There’s still a bunch of folky stuff on the new one as well.
I don’t know if I had my expectations too high or what, but after waiting for over a decade, I was a little disappointed with the new album. It’s a good album but after such a long time, at least half of which they’ve apparently been working on the album at least for some part, I just expected something different.
It’s a feature on an app. There are no filters and you can’t block instances unless you’re using that one app and apparently in some people’s minds everyone uses that one app.
Lol, “One, two! One, two!” at the beginning had me thinking it’s Danny Brown or Quasimoto or something.
Absolutely! An amazing show.
You’re more right than you realize, and not so archaic really. The texture of clouds, or even clouds themselves, mostly smaller, frizzy kind of clouds are called “pilvenhattara” where pilven is a possesive form of ‘pilvi’ - ‘cloud’ and hattara is kind of an abstract descriptive word, at least today. The translation of ‘rag, tatter’ is a bit more complex and at least a little unrelated. There might be some historic connection, since ‘hattara’ is kind of a descriptive word that describes (at least for quite a long time) a kind of specific type of clouds appearance, more so a small cloud that kind of just falls apart. It’s more like a frayed rag and the ‘hattara’ specifically pertains to the raggedness/frayed part - like the actual physical/visual quality of it being kind of frailed or jagged, like a cloud and so it does relate to clouds.
Hattara as a mythological thing is a different thing itself and again, might have some historic connection - my best guess would be that the kind of creature it means is something that is kind of ‘frayed’ like a vision or a fog ora cloud or something and is only seen for a moment. I’m unfamiliar with that one, though I’ve read a ton about folk beliefs and mythlogy here.
In Finnish it’s ‘vaahtokarkki’ which translates to foamcandy.

Yes, words have etymology, but it doesn’t really change anything and doesn’t make latin, french, whatever-origin loanwords not be english or whatever the language is they’re loaned to. You can’t say “…well ackshually guillotine isn’t english, it’s french”.
PS. It was a dumb joke.
