Thanks for that link! That does seem very similar to what I read about in Machi Koro 2, and I think we will definitely try it the next time we play.

My basic approach is: Esc
works like in normal evil-mode
, and takes me into vterm-copy-mode
as well. Without doing that, I have C-w C-w
remapped to move to another window, so I can switch to another window for all the rest of my keybindings. And I have C-Esc
mapped to send Esc
into the terminal itself.
I’m using evil-collection
for the basic bindings, and I have my own custom stuff here: https://github.com/bricka/emacs.d/blob/main/init.el#L1054-L1073
Edit: Forgot C-Esc
Depending on the complexity, there’s also abbrev-mode
: https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Abbrevs.html
There’s a fork of Openboard that is trying to update it, but AFAIK, it’s not published anywhere yet: https://github.com/Helium314/openboard
As a follow up, I’ve been playing with Elpaca, and they do indeed have a changelog. You can run elpaca-fetch-all
and see all of the new commits for each package.
In our first game of Clank Legacy, we thought that as long as you died above the Line of No Return, or whatever it’s called, you got points, regardless of whether you had an artifact or not. This had…implications for some of the story choices that we made.
I have a great memory at PAX of playing life-size Tsuro, where the players are the pieces. Good fun :)
I use Fastmail on the web, and Aqua Mail as my Android client.
The joy of using almost any enail servie other than Gmail or Outlook is that you can use basically any IMAP client you want :). Yes, I know that they both also support IMAP, but it never seems to work quite as well as one might hope.
Welcome to org-roam!
For opening a file, you can use M-x org-roam-node-find
. You can then either create a new node or visit an existing one.
The manual has some info about having multiple directories. It’s not super smooth, but it does work: https://www.orgroam.com/manual.html#How-do-I-have-more-than-one-Org_002droam-directory_003f
I have never heard of this game, but the word “Fearamid” is doing a good job of convincing me
I’ve been using variable-pitch-mode in my Org files for a few years: I find it nicer for writing design documents, meeting notes, and documentation. And I use it for all Org files, as if I embed code in a source block, that’s still monospaced and font locked. Best of all worlds :).
The only issue I have is that I use org-indent-mode, and sometimes the spacing doesn’t 100% line up, especially with bulleted lists. But I have long since gotten used to that.
The only one I really remember is Trogdor, but in order to keep it in my heart, I am a proud owner of Trogdor!!: The Boardgame
