Great info. Unfortunately for me, this requires more energy than I’ve got laying around.

Honestly I don’t see a difference in 4k/1080p with streamed media. Physical media on the other hand is night and day.
That’s great for people coming to the community, but it buries it in “hot” and “top last x”.
Constructive disagreement is always welcome. Angry downvotes with no backing discussion are bad for the community.
Sure, but when people downvote this post because they don’t like it, it makes it less visible and discoverable for people who do, overall decreasing the value of this community.
The movie was awesome! Easily the best concert movie I’ve seen. The production values were through the roof, and I definitely cried a few times just being overwhelmed by it all.
I went to a Dolby theater and the booming sound was honestly worth it. It was cut down to 2.5h so not quite as long. You should go!
In addition to what is mentioned by others, it starts the flow going to get a smooth pressure in the nozzle. While heating up the bed/nozzle, there can be an inconsistent melt in the nozzle. Sometimes a bit will ooze out and leave the nozzle empty. The purge will even all that stuff out and get fresh filament in there before it starts actually printing
It’s $10 on Etsy, but I left it in my cart overnight and got a coupon for 50% off. It would be completely unethical for you to DM me and ask me for a link to a direct download and for me to provide that link.
FYI, keep the file in your cart overnight and you’ll get a 50% off coupon. Sorry I forgot to mention it.
Weird, and good to know.
There’s a Lemmy contingent who feels that nothing digital should ever be paid for, and communicate this through downvotes. I also felt this way when I was a teen, but being in a position to support creators voluntarily is something that I take great pride in now.
Yeah that would make total sense lol. I’ll reprint when I get some white filament and print with the other side down. No idea why I didn’t think of it.
One other printing tip: pull the z of the model down a few layers. The way it is modeled has the plate touched by only a single point. Pulling it down and making (what should be the right side, but I printed left) of the lever flat gave me better bed adhesion.

You definitely should. I can design well enough for random BS, but can’t be bothered to perfect something. $5 is well worth the time saved for me.
It looked like this originally. For a normal glass of water, an adult used to it could wrap thumb and ring/pinky around the top of the glass, and push with the index finger to do it one-handed. But kids could never, and adults from outside the household were always baffled.
Etsy store was PackardsPrintables. I’m in no way affiliated.

Weird downvotes, but ok. It was $5, which is far less than I’d spend on filament prototyping it, let alone time considerations.
I think there will be a market for “corporate compliant and secure!!” LLMs. “Pay us gobs of money so you don’t get ‘hacked’ by dumb LLM users”
