I have a soft spot for Joseph King of Dreams.
I have a soft spot for Joseph King of Dreams.
Although (I hope) it’s having a resurgence, whodunnits. Knives Out as a modern example, Clue, and Last of Sheila for some classics.
Tesla was the best magician all along.
quick rinse for me
I’ve watched it already, and I did like it.
When I was younger, I rewatched Inception plenty of times because it was my favourite movie and because I keep seeing new details, learning new little things about the movie every time.
Cradle by Will Wight, I think I’m at book 8 of 11/12 (I don’t usually look so I don’t gauge how long til the end).
It’s been a fun western take on a progression fantasy and cultivation novel.
Honestly, was surprised he was the lead actor in this movie; I thought he’d be too distracting or something. But I think he did a pretty good job.
I remember it was duck hunt or an snes game of Popeye which is based on the original Donkey Kong iirc.
I’ve watched her on different movies before (Top Gun and Sleepless in Seattle), but she was different level of beautiful in this movie.
I daresay she’s peak Meg Ryan in this movie.
One of the first things that popped in my head was this web series called Worm by Wildbow.
There was an epic moment there an Endbringer and Scion that still lives rent free in my mind. I remembered shedding a tear because of how awesome that moment was.
Another was my experience in watching The Disapperance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Right now I don’t even know why it was such a great experience but I’ve been chasing that high ever since.
Currently going back and forth because there are still some subreddits that don’t have an active community.
Hopefully, soon most if not all niche I follow will have a dedicated community here.
Also, still waiting for a better mobile client (excited for boost for lemmy and relay for lemmy).
I don’t remember this exactly but when I was around 10 years old (circa 2007), me and my friends were playing around this “.bat” file that you create using notepad with a specific line which I forgot but essentially restarts your PC when you run the bat file.
We had some laughs during computer class.
During student council meeting, I had the chance to use the teacher/advisor’s PC and of course tried this .bat thing for some laughs. Unfortunately this PC was older or something because when I ran the .bat file it didn’t just restart the PC but ran into a significant error (I think some important files got deleted). Good thing no one noticed I tinkered with the PC, because the teacher was flustered.
I usually don’t check out trailers or read about movies before watching them. I didn’t plan to see this one in theaters, but a friend gave me a free ticket, so I went for it. I really enjoyed it! The animation was fantastic, and they portrayed the interactions between the different elements so well.
After watching the movie, I looked up some posts and discussions about it. Many people felt that the marketing didn’t accurately represent the story. Instead of being marketed as a forbidden love story, it should have focused on a parent’s love for their children and dreams, along with the beautiful city and its elemental residents. I agree with that sentiment.
Overall, it was a fun experience and definitely worth watching, especially if you appreciate great animation and a heartfelt story about nuances of family and dreams.
I feel you with the “I don’t have anything to talk about”.
I’m pretty boring, play games, read books, and that’s about it.
I wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation for long.
I’m kind of in the similar situation right now.
My university friend group kind of drifted away due to pandemic and other circumstances.
Now I don’t really have much interactions with them unless my GF and some of our mutual friends get together. It became more like My GF just dragging me around along her friends.
Test Post was successful, I was able to create a text post with 100% accuracy on my sample size of 1.
Bonus, I learned how mentions work but is not easily integrated with my own environment of Jerboa for lemmy.
It was a test and at the same time a joke if you were an old member of the not to be named website.
Mods (do we have mods here in fediverse) can take down the post if it’s a problem.
Making time, maybe that’s a big part of it.
I have a handful friends that I kind of still keep in touch with but only have time like once every 2 months to meet up and hang out.
What more for those old friends I haven’t heard of in a while.
What does it mean to be a socially conscious movie?
Are these like movies that reflect on the inner working of society?
