I’m absolutely shocked that Wizards wasn’t already doing distribution.

that site is horribly laid out, it breaks the entire story up with spam for it’s other stories that aren’t even related? Terrible.
Honestly i could care less if official D&D products used AI art, considering how little the art in the books matters. I’d honestly prefer if they were more like some other RPG’s books and had less art and more text.
I will say this: i’ve been on a binge of reading old dragon and dungeon magazine issues, and even AI art is better than the art that people endured for much of the 1980’s and early 1990’s.
That’s my thought basically - theres really no way this can go really wrong.
Honestly i’m fine with AI in a virtual tabletop environment, and am curious to see where it ends up.
It’s a fancy bit of kit but i have to think something home made could be better suited for a given GM. That said might be nice to give as a christmas gift if it’s cheap enough
tl;dr would be that one of the main actresses on critical role (Ashley Johnston) was in an abusive relationship with this guy named Foster, and Critical Role has now scrubbed every notion of his existence from their page by deleting all videos with him in it.
A valuable lesson on the importance of local archiving and not trusting any online source to stay online.
TIL thank you!
super curious what they’ll come up with for the dracoliches.
Oh it’s a whole method. I use oracles, i roll on tables, i automatically generate NPC’s.
The actual easy part is combat because “usually” there’s a best choice for the enemy to take in any situation that makes sense for them.
I do almost entirely solo, but my favorite part is the unexpected.
If you play a computer game, you know what’s going to happen or what’s within the boundaries of the simulation it’s running. Tabletop isn’t like that. It can spiral into anything and end up anywhere. That’s very refreshing and mentally engaging.
yeah i literally see no reason to give WOTC money at this stage.
I first heard it years ago and found it absolutely perfect for some situations.
Truly a cavalcade of poor decisions, bad ideas, and constant unforced errors coming to it’s ignominious end.
I actually do not use it, not out of any kind of moral stance but it just runs slow for me.
