You know… I totally forgot that I set that as my display name. No offense taken, obviously. I use a third-party Lemmy client so it never shows me that. 🤷♂️

Huh?
Used or owned? I own one and bought several for my company and they’re not useless at all. They’re just limited in the AR/VR experiences you can do right now. As a computer, productivity, and production device, it’s far from useless.
This is app is very underrated. On the Apple Vision Pro, it was the only app with a working 3D video player at launch. If only they could get the BTAS intro working properly, it would be really incredible.
Except I’m not. The last time this discussion came up, I was downvoted to hell and no one said anything of the sort.
Even in these comments… most of the replies are that it’s not only about piracy. There’s one person that has said “Yeah, I agree… I pirate.”
This is the wrong crowd for that, mate. I’ve gone through this rodeo on Lemmy too many times and you’re just going to get dishonest people pretending that what they’re doing isn’t stealing. It’ll be everything from “preservation of games” to “it’s just like renting from a library” and all the extremes of dishonesty.
No one here’s going to be honest about it.
I’m pretty privileged to be in a good spot and even I can see the writing on the wall - everyone around me is sad, overwhelmed, stressed, and angry and they can’t find anything that opens the release valve. I don’t understand how all these selfish bastards can look around and think that the US is doing great.
That’s why the captivity is so desirable and why it’s only going to get worse. Desperate people don’t have the luxury of caring if the job they take is going to be fulfilling or happy. They need the money more than any empathy or principles they have. If people are sad, you replace them because there’s crowds of desperate people that also quit their last job because it made them unhappy and now all their bills are 10-15% higher than they were before.
I have no use for these instructions but wanted to say thank you for taking your time to do this. I have been in this type of situation countless times and would kill for a response like this. Thank you for being helpful and useful to someone in need.
It’s not VR if you can see the real world. That’s literally the only distinction between the two and you messed it up.
Wtf are you talking about dude? I think you completely misread those.
If your PS5 is standing upright, you can’t load the disc sideways like you normally would because the drive won’t be oriented the same way. Duh.
I think the point is just to say that you can.
It took Microsoft 98 attempts the first time! Then it took them an entire Millennium. Then 2000 attempts after that. And then after 12 more attempts, they’ve decided they need to change the keyboard… I’d say #14 ain’t too bad.
It’s staged for sale. You want it to be monochrome. The color is added when the people eventually living there bring in their decorations, pictures, plants, etc.
That’s a short-sighted way to look at it. Less than 10% might come from personal vehicles but 31% comes from commercial transportation which can also be electrified. On top of that, 37% of remaining emissions come from generating energy and electricity from fossil fuels. As more of those sources become alternative sources like wind, water, solar, etc., electric vehicles (including commercial vehicles) take a huge chunk of emissions and dirty forms of energy away.

We don’t need carbon credits. We need clean sources of energy that are sustainable. If we were really desperate, we could come up with nuclear sources but that would need more public support and is rife with bad waste.
No one said anything about Elon. But you’re wrong about electric cars.
That all starts with being able to recognize those emotions in the moment. If you can’t change the past, then why are you putting energy into getting angry over it? In your dog example, you’re going to have to clean it either way so stop to think about what’s more valuable to you - moving forward and learning for next time or using your energy to get angry.
There’s nothing wrong with getting angry. Anger is a useful emotion. Use it to your benefit rather than to your detriment.
The article I posted from MIT in my other comment makes the claim that what you’re saying is not true. They have similar longevity, without the waste of oil changes and other additional carbon emissions, and the majority of ecological damage comes from charging infrastructure which can be made completely green. Additionally, Lithium can be recaptured and companies like Sigma Resources are finding ways to make the sourcing and recapture even more sustainable. Unless oil-based power sources can get better while simultaneously outpacing the current growth of renewable energy forms, I think your statement can’t possibly be true.
But that’s only the case because of the electricity used to create those components. Using green sources like solar power and wind energy would turn that to 0. Some of that is already offset by those sources today and the gap between electric and gas production is only an 11% difference.

Voyager. It shows actual usernames and not display names. You’re seeing my display name, not my username.
