At that price point and size you are getting a junk TV. Probably of the “buy again in 2 to 4 years” kind of variety. If you’re trying to get a good TV at 70 inches for less than $1000, you’re on a fools errand.

I’ve never been a concert. At least not so far

Even with just two kids and two parents, one parent is paying or presenting a ticket, second parent notices kid 1 is leaking nose horror all over their mouth and reaches to wipe it. Kid two, now knowing they have 4 unsupervised seconds, will teleport to the other side of the room, use their Felix the Cat briefcase to make a stepladder, and is now standing on top of a brontosaurus smoking cigarettes they found.

My one year old yesterday used the time it took me to give my 4 year old a courtesy wipe in the bathroom to push a kitchen chair across the room, climb that chair, start the coffee maker, and grab a handful of candy from the candy drawer. It sounds outrageous, but we’ve been pressing coffee pot buttons in the morning to help make the coffee. He’s seen me get him a piece of candy for desert from the candy drawer. He learned the day before he could climb up on a piano bench by pulling his belly on top. And that morning he pushed in a heavy kitchen chair that was sticking out, and it is the first time he could move it. So, of course, he synthesized those skills at the most opportune time.

He’s one. My four year old gets up to some real oceans 12 shit when left to her own devices. Kids are nuts. It would be equally a normal story for a 4 year old if the kid had been found hiding INSIDE the pot, making documentary accurate dolphin noises.

I need music control and that’s about it. I sometimes like to set “minimal lane changes”, but that’s mostly for long haul and I can do it before I leave. My wipers are by and large well behaved.

I have to say I prefer launching climate control from my phone before I ever get in the car. And also I’d rather have the cabin try to keep a temperature automatically instead of forcing me to dick with the temp of the blowing air.

So fucking true. After 5 years in a model 3, anything else is just too cluttered and full of junk.

I will say though I wish there was a console selection wheel that you can spin or push or click to supplement the touch screen. It’s too ridiculous to have to try to touch while driving for both the danger aspect and also the aggravation of the bumpy road making it difficult.

The climate controls are great and the selector wheels in the steering wheel are a master work. It’s too bad Elon is a piece of shit and the car itself is not exactly the pinnacle of quality construction.

I guess I’ll be alone in saying I don’t want a bmw cockpit with a button for every feature of the vehicle.

I like the rocking, turning console selection wheel Audi does, and I like the two wheels that also click forward and back on the steering wheel that Tesla does (and also gear stalks with buttons on the end). The only other thing that should maybe be a knob or button is climate temp or blower speed, but that is nicer when it’s adaptive like a thermostat.

Minimal interface for me please, just don’t force me to touch navigate the touch screen while I’m driving.
