Coke Zero hits the spot for me
They have the perfect personnel to execute this play. Highly strong quarterback and an elite O-Line. If other teams could do this, they would. What’s stopping them from putting an AJ Dillon under center when they attempt these plays.
Oh thank god. Keep him far away. I understand the vision he went with (which was more introduced by Cuarón than anything) but I really didn’t appreciate missing key scenes from the books, poorly executing the Hallows and the final battle, and how poor duels were. The only time there was some creativity was Dumbledore vs Voldemort in OoTP. Outside of that it was who can push harder with their wand.
There wasn’t much real “magic” in the last few movies.
Arrival I think would be a great choice.
What a wonderful phrase
Letterboxd has been slowly filling that void for me
Our aversion to nuclear energy PR wise has been a disaster. It’s very difficult for the general public to fully buy into nuclear power with all the misinformation spread about it. Hope we start to slowly veer back towards it.
Yeah I definitely agree with this one (but there’s definitely arguments both ways so nice for interpretation). I really enjoyed how May was basically Peter Parker’s (wo)man in the chair in ITSV.
Actually I don’t think this was even a theory. This was the original intent but the studio thought it was too complex for the GA to understand.
Lol okay I’ve never heard of this one . Any links where it’s more in depth?
Oh not a fan of the JarJar one but the life force one is really intriguing. Would’ve been nice to show more hints of that in media such as Rebels, Kenobi, or the comics. Vader slowly forming doubt would also help with his decision to betray him in Jedi.
I just re-watched Signs yesterday after what could be over a decade ago. This time I went in with the perspective of the very popular fan-theory that the aliens were demons the entire time. It really enhanced the movie for me and helped me appreciate the Reverend’s story more. The main theme of the movie should be on his story of believing again after the passing of her wife. The illogical actions of what’s considered very advanced aliens detracted from that and the overall movie suffered from this criticism. The theory of them being demons helped to alleviate and even enhance the movie for me and I enjoyed it far more upon re-watch.
Just to be clear , I’m fairly sure Shyamalan’s intention wasn’t for them to be demons as there are a lot of inconsistencies for that to be true. But if you can look past those issues, the movie becomes far more enjoyable with its theme of faith.
I’m loving it here but yeah hope there’s a bit more engagement. I think the main thing people need to focus on is building up the more common communities. From there we can slowly branch out as more people join. If we spread out too thin we’re just going to get graveyard communities.
As we grow we can focus on expanding and getting more of those niche communities going .
I enjoyed the latest trailer but it did feel very generic to me. I guess it might be just well done but has a middle of the road story.
Did not expect to see this. Looks like there was a reason they moved this from streaming to theaters. I was thinking of cancelling my A-List but this is a nice surprise to go see.
Yeah that would be great. I think both ideas if implemented would be excellen. Both types of media in one comm dilutes what people may want to talk about. Maybe its because communities are smaller here so they don’t want each individual community to feel like there’s a dearth of content. I’m also subscribed to the movies community in lemmy.world and lemmy.ml as well but this definitely has the most activity.
That’s what I mean exactly.
That’s also a great idea about splitting it up. having both kind of dilutes the community to have both in one.
I mean PSG doesn’t have THAT big of a legacy. He’s won 5 titles with them equating to close to have their all time records. Not even counting the Coupe’s
The Northman. Seeing Eggers with a huge budget was a sight to behold. Incredible cinematography and great performances from Skarsgard, Kidman, Claes, Defoe (man there’s so many to name). I love seeing Norse culture and mythology as well (play Hellblade if you ever get the chance).
I’m not sure if it’s considered an “original” considering it’s an adaptation of the classic The Lion King.
Yes if I make an effort to remember a dream or if it was very eventful, I see myself having a sequel in some way later on. Sometimes there’s been cases where I had the dream continue once I feel back asleep. Had a recurring figure in my dream once that was pretty creepy.
