That’s the only part I get.

I think the characters are in those careers commonly because it’s what the writers know.
I’ve never actually watched an episode but do know about the general premise somehow, I think through references to it in other media. I was able to figure out most of the joke even though I don’t know the character names.
I think Lemny needs to be pitched to more independent communities as a way to provide a forum to their members while being connected to the rest of the Internet. For example, game developers should make lemmy instances for their game communities so they can host a forum and not be subjected to the whims of Reddit. Non profits and guilds as well.
Should be as good as with the steam deck and that’s had tons of games available to it.
Lol I’m a tech lead and I’ve done this on a train no less. Thought I had my headphones paired but it took me a few minutes to realize why the sound was muffled.
I only have 1 ultra wide monitor. It’s slightly less screen space than 2 monitors, but it’s enough, and I like the simplicity of it.
A smart VPN will avoid going to jail for you by not storing any of the data law enforcement wants in the first place.
I didn’t know anything about this, but was curious and looked it up. Most methods say to turn off the oven before you put it in, some say a lower temp. I found one result that said 350 for 15 minutes, but it said to watch it closely the whole time. I don’t think your glove would have burned if you were watching it, things just don’t burn so fast that you can’t catch them before they turn black if you are watching it the entire time. I don’t know if warming up a glove helps it, but it does seem like you didn’t follow the instructions properly, and after cross referencing should have done the oven off method.

Zero empathy. There are tons of reasons to right click that have nothing to do with copying, plus he’s a complete moron to think that there’s any way to prevent someone from saving something that’s already downloaded on their computer.
Why isn’t the company paying for it? Anyways, you could just export it to a different format and then back to Excel depending on which features you’re using. But also, I think this is being paranoid. Microsoft isn’t the NSA
How about creating some communities too? I’d love some high quality educational communities moderated by a museum
Public posts on the Internet can be scraped by anyone for free. Reddit is more selling easy to consume access to that information via structured high bandwidth APIs. You should do as they said, and tell them to delete all your data so they aren’t allowed to host or profit off it anymore.
Checks and balances are about preventing a small faction of the government from gaining absolute control of the entire government. It’s not about preventing a say, it’s about preventing a total takeover that prevents anyone else from having a say in the future.
Almost nobody knows the academic definitions of most political ideologies, they’re just all cable news buzzwords now. If you took a sample of the population I’d be surprised if even 5% could give you the correct academic definitions for the vast majority of political ideology terms.
I was like why subject myself to this depressing show when I’m already subjecting myself to the news.
It’s also pretty condescending to assume that the community hasn’t already spent way more time thinking about how to deal with such a complex problem that effects them so much.
It’s always best to ask questions first before jumping to conclusions.
Ok, that makes sense, I think it would have been clearer if it were something like “but when I caught him he was this big!”
