City of Beasts by Isabel Allende. Didn’t realize it was for young adults until after I bought it, but it’s pretty good so far!

Hello! You can just call me Gone. (They/them)
I’m in my thirties and have been living in Taiwan for about five and a half months after living in the US for all my life. I teach English but will probably move back to America at the end of January next year. My goal when I get back is to teach English to immigrants in the US.
Lately I’ve been trying to learn Mandarin Chinese so I can speak with the people around me (also it’s just a cool language) and watching all the anime that Netflix has in Taiwan. I like doing outdoor activities like going for walks and shorts hikes.
As for music I’ve mostly been listening to music in Mandarin, since it’s helping me learn the language. Astro Bunny, Good Band and Shadow Project have been my go-tos.
I just started reading P. Djeli Clark’s A Master of Djinn but I’m not far enough in to know if I’ll really like it. So far so good, though.
