Why are you being so needlessly judgy? Maybe they have more money coming that will allow them to comfortably pay the electric bill by the time it comes. Maybe they wanted a special meal and buying & slow cooking the pork is how they budgeted their money. We have no idea about OP’s circumstances and frankly, it sucks that you felt the need to comment on how they’re doing everything wrong. They were excited about their ingenuity in the face of difficult circumstances and just trying to share something they were proud of with the community.

(Btw, I was curious so I did some googling and using this guy’s sample numbers, a 36 hr cook would use around $0.60usd in electricity. So changing cooking methods is not really an effective way here to save money.)

Mine won’t change sort views at all, just stuck on all: most comments. Haven’t tried interacting with it otherwise because I can’t get past the same posts I’ve seen a million times.

Yeah, I was thinking who’s to say what “normal” size even is? In hindsight, it was awkward as hell taking calls on my tiny nokia brick. Personally, I think we’ve hit a sweet spot between functionality and size practicality. I’m happy with my 6" screen as long as women’s clothes continue on the trend of indulging us with functional pockets.

I’ve got about a billion issues with capitalism, but I’m not sure how you think something like this should work otherwise? Product design/development/manufacturing takes a bunch of resources, so it doesn’t make sense in any model to make things people generally don’t want.
