Between May and July of this year, Bolivia conducted financial operations amounting to 278 million Chinese yuan ($38.7 million), which accounts for 10% of its foreign trade during that period
The post title is misleading
He wasn’t forced to work, he just wanted some spending money above what good parents have him. What’s wrong with that?
It’s not like scooping ice cream requires special skills
Nothing wrong with working after school when you’re 15, my friend worked a few hours scooping ice cream
Not everyone will use every waking hour studying
China doesn’t even have a free healthcare system. Everyone still needs to pay, even though there are subsidies. In real life, there’s little difference between the US and China
An Apple laptop doesn’t have replaceable RAM or storage because they want to upcharge on those items.
The average laptop is okay, but ports are soldered. Framework ports are all USB C internally so you actualy customize what you want and they can be plugged and unplugged
Screens are often glued on as well. But the killer feature is upgradable mobo and GPU. Nobody has supported a new generation of GPUs, if they come out with RDNA 4 upgrade for the current gen that will be a first in decades.
They already succeeded with a mobo upgrade so you could have bought an 11th gen Intel and changed to AMD or 13th gen
AFAIK he was standing right next to an MRLS shooting at the Ukrainian forces, and the Ukrainian forces shot back.
Yes, my laptop is ten years old. It doesn’t support nvme and its HDD is dying. I need a new one. I’m not going to throw money on a 5000 series Intel laptop with a GPU that has been out of order for five years.
It can’t handle AV1 decode even in software. It supports 4K, but not actually fast enough to play back videos in this resolution.
The HDMI port is half broken. Even if I upgraded the other parts, I’m not going to solder a new port.
I also want to support Framework and their goal of repairable and upgradable laptops
I want my framework laptop, and I’m considering waiting for a faster RDNA 3 mobile chip. They are currently all powered limited rx 7600 chips
I responded to the wrong comment, I thought this was the thread about elections in Ukraine, haha. I deleted it, but deletions don’t propagate between servers quickly
Thousands of Chinese tourists go there for a very strictly controlled vacation every year. As long as they think you’re not a threat it’s much safer than going to a place with literal warfare going on
Pyongyang would be more safe, Crimea is a literal war zone. This is like taking vacation in Khartoum
Nice picture, but it looks like this now https://twitter.com/OAlexanderDK/status/1680838126292414466
It’s in the Constitution of Ukraine
https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/1647-14

The treason part is getting paid for their votes by Russia
Romney, everyone laughed and said it’s not the Cold War era anymore. Little did they know he was 100% correct seeing how Russia had already invaded Georgia a few years prior
While nothing here is technically untrue, but it’s on purpose misleading
It was the most dangerous instance, but far from the only one. Kyiv also swiftly blamed Russia for the attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines last September, a charge repeated by European officials, print media, and countless talking heads on U.S. television, before Western officials all but absolved Moscow and evidence emerged that Europe and the United States had had advance knowledge of a Ukrainian military plot for the attack.
There’s no proof that the plot was actually carried out, just the knowledge of it existed several months prior to the sabotage.
There’s also no mention of the Kakhovka dam explosion that Ukraine claimed to be Russian doing, while Russia falsely blamed on Ukraine. Later photos confirmed explosives being brought from the Russian side
The average reader, as a result, is left with little reason to doubt [the] claims.
Indeed, this article makes it seem like Ukraine always lies and should not be trusted. The truth, of course, is much more complex
Instead of implied like they don’t use USD anymore, but it’s more like “in addition to using mostly USD still”
