i definitely watched it when i was a youngun, but i’m always surprised to hear it’s still running tbh

well, whether by bow or by vat of acid, i’d probably choose to spare my friend over some random celebrity. though i’d naturally rather not kill either of them.
is this like a joker dilemma where they’re both dangling over vats of acid and i only have time to save one?
is this new on iphone? as far as i knew, that’s been a thing for most videos for ages on android, excepting only most music videos.
probably ant man, as well as any film that prominantly features ant man as a character. the sci-fi nonsense justification of his powers is just way too stupid for me, and it taints everything it touches.
T2 is definitely the best terminator film, but you’re missing out if you discount all the sequels. Dark Fate at least is pretty darn good, and it’s basically a direct sequel to T2, so you don’t have to watch all the films in between.
i like my laptop cause i already have it, and have gotten to know it quite well over the past 16 years, but i wouldn’t recommend it. it would be nice to have more than 4gb of memory these days, cause i can’t have too many tabs open on firefox without it bogging down.
just a historical factoid that a lot of people don’t realize: the luddites weren’t anti technology without reason. they were apprehensive about new technology that threatened their livelihoods, technology that threatened them with starvation and destitution in the pursuit of profit. i think the comparison with opposition to AI is pretty apt, in many cases, honestly.
my first os was windows 95, but my first linux distro must’ve been whatever version of ubuntu was current around 2007/2008.
right now, job hunting, but as soon as i can stop job hunting, my answer will change to working.
trying to start any kind of art as an adult sucks because inevitably by that point, you’ve got a fair head start on your art appreciation skill, which makes you perceive your initial attempts at art creation as particularly heinous. if you start as a kid, you’re less capable of recognizing how bad you are, and you aren’t having to compare yourself against peers who’ve got twenty years of experience on you.
why dost thou speakest in riddles, fair traveler?
i may or may not have a tanksona, but that doesn’t make me a tankie.
i’ve never heard of this practice before, and it’s fascinating.
fun fact though (since i am a fan of linquistics and typography and such): jesus wouldn’t have been a capitalized pronoun user because capitalization wouldn’t be invented for over a thousand years after his death. and, he would’ve been speaking aramaic, which never developed a bicameral script in the first place. unless of course we’re to assume that he (and presumably his god dad) ghost-wrote the king james bible i guess and they wanted to update their pronouns with these newfangled upper and lower case letters.
i really wish i hadn’t seen the trailer for From Dusk Til Dawn. if you know nothing about the film, and have ever enjoyed a tarentino flick, just watch it blind, please.
depends on the opinion and what you mean by “respect”, i suppose. i will say though that if someone goes around spouting baseless nonsense and expects to be taken seriously, i will probably respect them less as a person.
i like listening to Lily Simpson videos when i’m doing chores and such. Her videos are often fairly long (meaning i don’t need to stop what i am doing to pick another video), easy to take in without having to actually watch with my eyeballs the whole time, and of consistently high quality.
would a notification work? notify-send seems like it could fit the bill.
context? this isn’t really news without a story of some sort.
but by that point, whoever the inheritors of the account were have probably been paying money and adding new games to it for decades. why would valve destroy their relationship with that customer just because they might still technically have access to some hundred year old games that either don’t even run on modern systems, or might even be public domain by that point?
