In my state it is against the law to hold your phone while you’re driving so I keep it connected by bluetooth for calls. It’s not a problem when I’m listening to music or podcasts which I frequently do. It’s only an issue when I’m not listening to anything. I’ve looked into updating the car’s software but it’s already on the most current version.
Unfortunately I don’t have Android Auto capability in my car but thanks for the reply. Maybe this will help someone with a similar problem.
I’m hoping we pick up some more talent. Losing Kelce, Cox and Swift is a tough pill to swallow.
I said that exact thing to myself and then came here to see if anyone else thought that.
I love pictures from the surface of Mars. The desolation and monotone color of the landscape is beautiful in it’s own way, but I also see those boulders and start to think about their origins and how long they’ve been sitting there. Are they fragments of meteors? Are they pieces of the crust that were ejected in massive explosions from impacts? It’s all just so cool!
Yeah, I agree. I don’t understand that part. I just want to be able to change the theme. I don’t need anyone else to know that I did.
Even though I have the exact version mentioned in this post, I have been unable to find any flags in the debug menu that will enable the ability to change colors in a chat conversation. For some reason neither the post or the telegram channel it links to, do not mention which flags to enable. I’ve seen it mention on other platforms that “bugle.enable_custom_themes” is the specific flag, however that does not exist on the current beta version as far as I can tell. The version I have and the one mentioned in the post is messages.android_20240125_01_RCO0.phone.openbeta_dynamic.
If anyone has a suggestions, please let me know.
If I’m on my computer, I use Push Bullet. It sends the link directly to my phone but I can also go back to the Push Bullet app anytime and find it. If I’m on my phone, I just keep that tab open on Chrome until I read it.
Same. I would definitely be one of the people complaining if I wasn’t getting it for free.
Here here!
It is unfortunate but Ingenuity is something to be celebrated. A bittersweet moment for NASA engineers and the community. It was an amazing accomplishment and a true example of the kinds of things we can accomplish. I mean, we flew a fucking drone on another planet! It’s mission was only 30 days and it lasted nearly 3 years! That’s just incredible! One day a future human will pick it up and place it in a museum for all to see with a label proudly stating “Ingenuity: The first aircraft to fly on another planet.”
I just cut up an old VGA cable to make some of these tonight. Surprisingly not that hard to take apart. I’ll need to use my dremel to cut the screws off of their little blue thumb grips so I can glue them on.
I never paid for prime. I hate paying for shipping though so I usually wait until I need a couple of things to get over the minimum. I recently ordered a pair of ear buds. They were $34.95 so I added a box of $1 Kraft mac and cheese to avoid paying the $8 for shipping. haha!
*tips hat
When I was younger, I had really only experienced console games and maybe a few basic PC games at school. My uncle showed my this FPS game on his computer called Redneck Rampage. Basically you’re running around farms trying to kill aliens. I don’t really remember playing very many FPS game before that and it opened up a whole new world for me. But the really crazy part was how “adult” the game was. You could drink beer in the game and your character would get drunk. I also remember some graffiti in the game of a naked woman with huge tits. At the time I could not believe something like that would be allowed in a video game! Blew my mind.
My phone (Pixel 7) does not have one. On occasion I use a pair of wired USB-C headphones but only for media. I do not use headphones for calls. Bluetooth in the car for calls and YouTube Music.
I’m curious about this as well.
I have not read a single comment anywhere on Lemmy on any post about Sync that takes it to the highly exaggerated level you made it out to be. On the contrary, I have seen many many users express appreciation to the dev and acknowledge how well the app is designed, but respectfully voice their surprise at the unusually high cost to remove ads. Just because a person thinks $20 for an app is a bit steep, doesn’t mean they think the dev is a “FUCKING WORTHLESS MORON”.
A head unit is the actual radio hardware in a car. Some of them can be replaced with after market hardware. Yes, when my phone is connected to the radio by Bluetooth, I have to keep the unit on and set to the Bluetooth input in order to hear notification sounds. If I have it off, or set to another input I won’t hear any notifications that come in.
