On the other hand we Dutch run ads in the THE TENTH CIRCLE OF HELL, begging the Doom spawn coming for some nice debauchery, not to visit Amsterdam. True story.
28·5 days agoAdvertising on TV and radio stations here in the Netherlands is heavily regulated so people aren’t constantly exposed to ads, while these manifacturers can do whatever they like. It is time to start regulating TV manifacturers on data collection and showing (personalized) ads. Shit’s getting Orwellian.
After my LG C3 started showing ads I disabled the smart TV part and now use external players only for all our TV’s. I don’t trust TV screen manifacturers the slightest bit.

I hear you. Transition from the dying golden age too. In Madlib’s beats there is a lot of J Dilla unquantized grooves…but he takes that thing to psychedelic levels. Meat Grinder intro is straight Frank Zappa’s Freak Out level stuff. This guy took effort to get MF Doom in, together made a perfect storm.

Was at a girlfriends place (around 82 when I was 12) in Leidschendam. We where walking next to a canal and we saw a kid on a tricycle. Next thing the kid was gone and we noticed he fell into the water but he couldn’t be seen in the murky water. We ran into a backyard calling for help, the kids dad was there and he jumped in the water and resqued his kid. Must all have been in less than a minute.
