If you want to have todo list/notes with checkboxes and don’t ~care about~ want any online functionality, I would suggest using Another Notes. Also, I uses p!n to show my todos-of-the-day right inside the notifications.
Edit: I mean “don’t want”, not “don’t care”
They released a more recent Lawnchair 2 last year.
https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/app.lawnchair
The repository is updated I think, but the release apk is already a year ago.
My first ever Android phone is a rooted Samsung Galaxy Young, it has less than (i think) 200 MB internal storage, so I always need to delete apps at that time.
I guess rooting a phone is more straight-forward back then, just one “update” zip file, and then it’s done.
It should work if you post using a Lemmy account. However, if you use a Mastodon account it will show as “\#
” which is not working as expected right now, someone has been opened an issue talking about it: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3789
Edit: After reading your comment again… oops, I think said too fast.
The situation above only applies when you try to post to Lemmy Communities, and also, I just tried it by myself, hashtag in Lemmy seems won’t work.
Testing-ground: https://lemm.ee/post/5513264
Usually, the hashtags in a Lemmy posts is a hyperlink, i.e. [#hashtag](https://example.com/tags/hashtag)
, for example this post posted by a Mastodon account:
https://lemmy.world/post/3754328
I don’t know if hashtag (strings) works on Mastoson, because it might be processed (e.g. HTML character-escaped) when transmitting to another instance, and the testing community i posted is not federated with other instances.
You still can disable these apps on Samsung phones, but if you want to uninstall them, you need to use tool via computer, e.g. using adb
.
I just tried on my Samsung S22+, Android 13, still works.
Not an app, but try adb uninstall [package_name]
, make sure to enable usb debugging in developer options
Edit: some typo
adb uninstall com.facebook.katana
Not for now, but it seems it’s coming, see feature request https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/317
Edit: If you need to add flairs now, just need to add a text with bracket before the title, like “[announcement] Post title”
Try to uncheck “Suggest ways I can finish setting up my device to get the most out of Windows”/“Show me the Windows welcome experience after updates and occasionally when I sign in to highlight what’s new and suggested” in Settings -> System -> Notification & actions (Windows 10) or “Offer suggestions on how I can set up my device” in Settings -> System -> Notifications (Windows 11)
You may use HuskyDG/MagiskHide and Shamiko Magisk module (new version) or MagiskHide(older version) to try hiding root on these apps.
I haven’t tried it.
Edit: grammar structure
I’m using default session installer.
Edit: Just found something on their repository, they mentioned that they support one-click install, but in some conditions.
From https://github.com/NeoApplications/Neo-Store/issues/294
Simply put, it is normal that it sometimes pops up prompt window when user installing/upgrading some applications (because of having lower target api).
Not really.
You can do that with both rooted and non-root phones. Just one-click install all apps with the sync button on the top right or the “update all” button.
However, sometimes it fails and I need to install rest them manually if your phone is not rooted.
Oh I misread adblocking as blocking, upvoted
I used Droid-ify before, it doesn’t support one-click install for all apps while Neo Store can.
Do you mean to block system apps’ internet access?
Settings ->Advanced options ->Toggle “Manage system apps”
I use it for transferring files and messages between my phones, and it uses Session ID instead of phone number, which is good for privacy.
However using Session is different than using Matrix/Element, I think Element is still your first choice if you want to communicate with Matrix user.
Did you try Neo Store?
Session is Signal with no phone number required.
I can’t wait to have my first cake here
