  • just so everyone is aware grapheneos only support’s pixels because it is specifically designed for taking advantage of the hardware security features found in google’s tensor and titan chips. and thus installing it on another phone would kinda miss the point (and vastly increase the scope of the project)

google is also basically the best company when it comes to phones for custom roms, as they provide stock images, a simple bootloader unlocking process (that doesn’t void your warranty as far as i can tell), and generally the aosp and software support that comes from being the phone of the developer of android.

  • The readme states:

“This repo also serves as an updated version of the original neofetch since the upstream dylanaraps/neofetch doesn’t seem to be maintained anymore (as of Oct 27, 2023, the original repo hasn’t merged a pull request for almost 2 years). If you only want to use the updated neofetch without pride flags, you can use the neofetch script from this repo. To prevent command name conflict, I call it neowofetch :)”

Comparing a companies budget phone to another companies newer halo phone is just an unreasonable comparision. The iPhone 15 pro also has many features that the pixel doesn’t.

For 429 dollars you could get an Apple refurbished iphone 12 mini (so same warranties and stuff as a new phone), which has a more powerful cpu, higher storage options if wanted, a brighter display, face id, etc. Obviously, you also lose features. But the reality is, its not some simple one side is good value and the other is overpriced garbage.

oem authorized repair also applies to apple, and with almost all the same caveats

  • seem like trying to write Latin.

This is quite funny for someone who has learned a (tiny) bit of latin, because this is 100% true, in like a positive and negative way.

FreeCAD is “unforgiving”, in that pretty much every dimension/curve/shape must be defined exactly as you want, in exchange, this makes the software very good if you know what you want to create, and how.

I’ve only used a tiny bit of Fusion at a school once, but it was a lot more “freeform” than FreeCAD, this made it easier to use, but as someone who knows what they want to create pretty exactly, I prefer FreeCAD

This reflects languages. Latin is very organized, a single verb ending changes it from like “he who did” to like “he who has done” and you’re supposed to know that. It’s heavily theorized (and is 100% paritially true) that Latin is specifically designed as an efficient language to move troops. So, harder to learn but more accuracy.

English on the other hand trades accuracy for a more natural way of relatively easy to understand speak (with a good bit of overlap where there is confusion)
