Look at who you responded to. It’s one of the usernames you pinged. Just saying 🙂

Great job, looks beautiful!
No real tips to add but I have a bench top jointer and LOVE it. Sure a larger one would be nice but it does the job.
Looks great - I am sure the kids love it!
Looks great! Seems like you had same experience as mine, the cushions were the most expensive part.
Thank you! That is an egress window for a basement window. It’s honestly ugly in there. Just looks like metal from a farm silo. Thats why we want to convert it into a catio entrance. At least the kitties can enjoy it.
Anyone have any tips for painting wood? Since it was just construction grade lumber, I went with an outdoor paint vs a stain. But I noticed in the direct sun some small areas have slight bubbling. Did I just not do a good enough job preparing the surface? I want to get it right before building the coffee table. Thanks!
Usually I try to build my own plans in Fusion 360 but this is the plan I used for this build. Figured it was easier than trying to ensure the cushions were right size.

Thanks! I purchased them from Amazon. If I am honest, that was the toughest part of the entire process.
The bottom cushions are 19x19 cushions.
The top cushions are throw pillows in these pillow cases.
The plan is to build a “catio” from the basement egress window beneath the couch which will go to the side of the couch. I also plan on building a coffee table over the next couple of weeks. Would love to be able to enjoy a dinner out there.
Thank you! Yep, thankfully I was able to find some red oak dowels from a big box store. And you are right, nobody has ever mentioned the pocket holes.
This is a very good perspective. I haven’t been on Reddit since the blackout started. Probably would have gone back as well but the AMA comments were the final straw for me.
To name a few:
-The bottom support has the pocket holes facing outward (it was designed without that piece, but was unstable so I added it in without thinking too much).
-I would get rid of the adjustable shelf holes. The shelves never get moved around so it would have been more stable to just attach them using hardware. I have since changed this and it is MUCH more stable. That thing doesn’t budge now.
-Different wood, but that is because it doesn’t match the current kitchen.
Otherwise I love how useful it is and we plan on keeping it for years to come! Thank you!!!
I’ll go a different direction than some of these other comments because it’s a project I’m planning on building soon. If you have cats build some homemade cat towers. You can cover with carpet/fabric to make them easier for cats to climb and hide the imperfections.
Same - I keep getting a verification expired notification but the page never loads.
Well, sounds like its time to change it from two days to indefinite. Which it should have been from the get-go.
Don’t delete it just yet, the app developer mentioned there is a chance he updates the API and app to work with Lemmy.
Do you live near a Microcenter? If so, I would recommend checking out their CPU/Motherboard combo deals.
As a few other people have added, PC Partpicker is great for compatibility. Best of luck and feel free to ask questions as you go!
I had to move Sync off the homepage of my phone to avoid the muscle memory of just clicking it mindlessly. I have caught myself once or twice wanting to type it into the URL.
I don’t think the hesitation is with the developer of Sync. I think he is worried about the sustained success from Lemmy. If people keep staying active, more people will join. But it could also fade away quickly (I hope not).
