If you want the best Android experience you’re not going to do better than a Pixel. It’s a Google OS, on Google hardware. I myself am looking forward to the Pixel 8 Pro.

Hardware wise, Samsung may meet or maybe even exceed Google’s line, but not significantly enough to make a difference in my opinion. Especially with the newer Pixels, it’s a pretty mature product at this point.

Yeah, as a heavy Google user I would use this if I had a reason to use a VPN. Google is scraping all my information anyway from my Android phone, my Google searches, and G-Mail, Maps, etc. They’re not going to gain any additional information about me from usage of a VPN.

This is probably true for anyone using Google One.

If I had an iPhone or used DuckDuckGo or Firefox was taking other security measures, it’s probably pointless, but I’ve just gone all in on only Google have any of my data.

On both the standard web page and through Sync, it shows the article text. But on any format, you can click the little link and it will take you to the full article.

And I’m sorry dude, but it’s the internet. If you feel called out over little criticism of your unwillingness to read an article before commenting, that’s a you problem. It’s hardly “vitriolic.” We can and should try and make Lemmy better.

I like that on Lemmy, you now don’t even have to click the link to actually read the article, and people still don’t do even that before making a stupid comment that is addressed by the article.

Yeah, and since you don’t see real ones that often the fakes are kind of convincing if you’re not paying attention.

Whales have been used for a number of resources in the past.

Oil from blubber was a big one, and used in everything from lamps to soap.

Ambergris was a perfume base.

Spermaceti, the substance in the head of sperm whales, was used for candles and also lamps, as it was a higher quality.

Her wiki page is probably better credentials, but honestly anyone who’s been in this hobby more than a few years should know of her reputation. She helped design the CR-30 if nothing else.

I’m hoping it’s just people knew to the hobby and not her being silenced taking a toll on her presence.

Do you know how it compare to the MK3S+?

I have one and want another Prusa, and not sure if the upgrades are worth it, or if it’s better to just get another 3S+ just for the parity and simplicity. Plus 3S+'s are cheaper now.

Favorite part is probably simply that they made such a good and well written D&D movie that managed to both convey the feeling of a D&D game to actual fans, and still be enjoyable and accessible to non-fans.

Favorite scene though, if I had to pick one? Probably Doric’s wildeshaping chase, and the whole Underdark sequence. Themberchaud was such a chode, lol.

I also homebrewed a tropical pirate-themed campaign! The party currently got duped into aiding a lesser noble steal an ancient artifact and have fallen in with a pirate fleet. They’re all various alignments of Good, so this is not where they want to be, but if they play their cards right, could potentially destroy the fleet and make off with a ship of their own.

Also trying to incorporate a lot of “realistic” elements from the Age of Sail, but a bit more of a serious campaign with some general shenanigans.
