A metal detectorist has reunited a farmer with his Rolex watch – 50 years after it was eaten by a cow.
To the cow’s credit, it does have four stomachs…
How is this international news? Especially when almost anything significant that has been found by medal detecting always has a story behind it and some way more intriguing than “I thought a cow ate my watch”
Anything is news if someone reports on it.
How is this international news?
You’re in Weird News, bud. Weird News knows no borders. If a Hungarian Hippo Hikes to Haiti, we’re covering it.
Plus, it’s fun. It’s a brain break from life. Enjoy or not.
For some reason my first thought (having skimmed the title and obviously not taking in all the details) was that it had remained in the cow until now and was going to suggest that making a hole and grabbing it like so
would have been quicker, but I now after properly processing the information, I realise it probably shat it out not long after consuming it and it was lost to the muck all this time, and that poor cow is long gone. In which case the metal detector seems like the right tool for the job lol
