Clickbait headline and a completely pointless article. It’s just a bunch of complaining, without any suggestions. Plus I can’t even re-open the link to read it again, since it’s behind a login wall.
I think it is better to say that you can only really repair instead of build new. Even then, it is easier to repair once something is broken because it is easier to get the public to accept the impacts of construction on their daily lives.
I didn’t read the article, so I’m guessing it’s about how fast the I95 overpass was fixed after the recent collapse.
It was fixed for an exorbitant amount of money on a no compete contract. That’s how you get things done fast. It’s certainly not how you want to build infrastructure normally.
