It’s surreal. I am sitting here with her sleeping on my lap as mom gets some much needed rest.

Congrats! You are on the car of a rollercoaster about to start.

It’s going to be awesome, it’s going to be messy, there is no way back and no way down.

    A couple of sure things:

    1. Your life will never be the same again (and I am sure it will be for the better)
    2. Sleep sleep sleep! Take turns with her mums, take naps, sleep at work… do whatever it takes but it’s paramount that you and her mum gets sleep

Enjoy the journey and these moments in particular 😃

First, congrats! Second, there will be sleepless nights and frustration as you learn how to be a dad. The good news is those will quickly fade from memory to be replaced by warm happy memories. The good heavily outweighs the bad.

I won’t lie. It took me a good year and a half to feel “good” about being a dad. Countless nights of total panic wondering if I was being unfair and selfish to that baby by choosing to be his dad, how unfit to be so I was, etc.

Well, now, that baby turned 6 years old a couple weeks back, started 1st grade. We’re waiting for 2 of his friends right now for a small belated birthday party. My wife is also pregnant with his little brother, who should join us in the next week or two!

It was hell, it’s still pretty hard, but every single second of it was so worth it. If you just let it, parenthood will teach you so much about yourself.

Congratulations! My baby girl is about to turn 16 and it is amazing how quickly it all went by. I have a lot of fond memories or holding her in my lap while Mommy slept since we used to do this in shifts. It is the most amazing experience to watch a little baby grow up to be a person that, for better or worse, you helped mold and shape. Enjoy every minute of it because it will be gone before you know it.

    Fuck yeah dude!

Ours is 20 days away from her due date, so it could happen at any moment.

    Congrats!

Congratulations!! Ours is 2.5 and every moment seems more rewarding then the last. I was terrified about having a girl because basically my whole family is boys, but she’s fantastic.

Enjoy it my friend, it’s pure magic.

Congrats! Every year will get more awesome,. Ours is 3 and I love spending time with her and talking about how the world works. Yes, life is very different to before, but I wouldn’t want to change thing. Also, boys are a little… r-word, I know, I used to be one and I see them at daycare. Girls are so much further ahead when it comes to emotional and cognitive development, so congrats on that lucky draw (imo) :D
