I’m using virtual box to try it out. I went with Linux linux mint cinnamon and it’s running great. Any program suggestions to try out or any general advice?

    Between WINE and proton most games work these days though… Sure if the game’s not on steam it might take a couple extra steps, but more often than not those extra steps are just adding it as a non steam game and assigning a proton version in properties in the GUI and it works

      Yes, but that won’t work in a virtual environment that doesn’t have access to the GPU. OP said they were using Virtual Box to trial Linux.
