Happy Weekend everyone!

Not meaning to sound like a YT channel, but we’ve passed the 500 subscriber milestone recently and its awesome to see the community grow and more people participate.

Special thanks to the members submitting their own tracks. It’s awesome to hear member’s creativity. And those that share their favorite tracks, or new discoveries, you’re also appreciated. Growing a community takes everyone to be involved, even if you’re just lurking and voting. We appreciate everyone here.

That said, how’s everyone feeling about the community so far? Are there changes y’all would like to see?

More or less of something? More classics, new tracks, obscure?

Theme days or something like that? (Mix Monday, throwback thursday, stuff along those lines)

If anyone wants to chime in, feel free to comment. We’re open to community criticism and suggestions, but please be constructive. Being an ass will get you nowhere around here.

(Disclaimer: We take requests and ideas, but we may not implement them. Us mods are pretty busy with real life, so we cannot do everything the community wants. Also, a quick reminder that more mods are welcome. Just reach out to the mods through DM, discord or comments.)

Thanks again, everyone! You’re all appreciated.

Edit: Dont forget our YT and Spotify playlists! They are linked in the community sidebar.

Edit 2: Damn, lol It still came out sounding like a YouTube channel promotion. Sorry about that. I’ll cut back on these, I promise.

I just wish people try to comment on posts more. It sucks seeing all posts with 0 comments.

Yeah, that’s understandable, and I wholeheartedly agree. I think maybe I contribute to that too much myself. Hopefully more of us will become more comfortable commenting and generating discussion.

As an aside, I think it might be helpful of me to regularly add track descriptions and artist info, maybe a review, as I think that would generate more conversation. Unfortunately, this is the busiest time of year for my organization, so I really haven’t had time to interact much let alone implement my track info idea for myself. I would also have to discuss things with the other mods to see their thoughts on things. Maybe I’ll start that when business slows down.

I think it’s fairly common as most viewers just want to listen. Personally, I want to try and be more engaging when I can.
