I’ve got an AI book around here that’s based around a Lisp that uses FEXPRs, but never looked deep enough to find out much about them.

The Elements of Artificial Intelligence by Steven L. Tanimoto, published in 1987. It says that various Lisp implementations can be used (including some microcomputer Lisps), but that he intended to publish his own Lisp implementation for the book. No idea if that happened or not, although the back of the book does say the author made a Lisp interpreter for MS-DOS.
