I literally salt and vinegar the ground after ripping it out. I don’t burn it, since I live in California and burn piles are generally frowned upon (but are allowed a few times per year). I send it off to the municipal compost, where it does at least get somewhat cooked. Neat! I didn’t know about it changing when you press on your eyeballs- they really slow down quite a bit! It makes me wonder if there is a name for the dancing green patterns that show up when you squinch your eyes shut really tight.
Only if they are part of a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program for ferals. If you just take your pet in for the procedure they don’t do that. They might give them a small tattoo on their belly if it’s a girl, so if they are lost track of and have new humans they are sure no one will open them up to try and do it again.

21·2 months agoI don’t understand what’s happening in this picture. Why is the blue draw string not being used? Is the bag too short for the bin? Is that a laundry hamper? How would the groves for the lid work if a bag is in place?
Advertisers pay a fee to the website where their ad is displayed every time someone clicks on it, it’s called the Pay Per Click model. It’s how websites make money off running ads. There is a small fee for displaying the ad and larger one for click throughs.

What are you even talking about? They are mushy and stinky and yes it is an ecological detriment to take salmon on their way to spawn.
Depending on where you are, you might be interfering with a federally listed endangered salmon population. Just because you saw a whole buncha salmons one time doesn’t mean they’re all doing fine. And are you trying to imply you fought off bears to get your hands on some stinky old, nearly dead salmon on their way to further the species? 😂 😭 😂
For the second year in a row, all commercial and recreational salmon fishing in California will be closed for the 2024 season in order to let the salmon population recover. On Wednesday, the Pacific Fishery Management Council voted unanimously to cancel salmon fishing season off the California and Oregon coasts, which was scheduled to begin next month.
They’re basically a pile of mush by the end of their run, about to keel over and die. They don’t have any fat and the muscles have been mostly used for energy as well. It gets significantly fishier smelling too, but like, not in a good way.
Some people like it. My dogs used to like to yank our shoulders out of the sockets on walks, trying to go roll around in the ones that flopped on to shore to die. That’s not fun to scrub out of an excitable labrador.

I would say they are the most popular livestock guardian dog where I live, just from roadside observation, but I don’t know how long this has been the case. Lamas seem to be in second place.
