Customers will notice the change on their next bill. Netflix has quietly put up its prices across each subscription tier in Australia.
Why is this even legal, oh who am I kidding lobbying most likely. They began notifying people on May 13. Thanks for the correction @blindsight@beehaw.org.
^Maybe an Alano Español(Spanish Bulldog).
Not a dog expert(don’t even have a dog) but I consulted this list. The ears seem to be long cropped to me though I can’t be certain.
I just realized you now have a Mabari Warhound. You lucky…dog…
Let’s agree to disagree.
Why the fuck would I mean explosives, did you think by kill I meant their heads would explode? Most marine life depend on sounds more than us as such have more sensitive hearing which get disrupted and damaged more easily because of it by the sounds we make, especially sonar.
Use sonar loud enough and it’ll kill or at least damage pretty much every marine life it reaches, so humans win the battle. But lose the war because us winning just means mutually assured destruction.
And still is, it shouldn’t be this way. Stop Killing Games really needs to take off.
You can use Tab Center Reborn & OneTab for a much better tab hoarding experience.
After they just passed a bill to give them more money? I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not but I certainly hope so.
Onion link for posterity.
I tried testing with a new account on ds9.lemmy.ml aswell and it seems to be working well. Tried 2 different languages and both showed up correctly without touching anything in the settings,
Im removing this as part of the PR to set new user languages from accept-language header, it doesnt make sense anymore with that.
^This is a good idea.
Also from the settings “Warning: If you deselect Undetermined, you will not see most content.” comes off as if you need to select it to view things while it’s actually a language filter to only show the selected languages only. Renaming it from “Languages” to “Languages filter” and rewording the warning may help further.
Devs still need to eat so we will need a better alternative to adsense. As long as we depend on these corporate services their stranglehold will only continue strengthen like this.
It sounds like it’s working as intended. I’ll mark the OP as solved then, thank you for all your help.
I’m not very savvy but I tried it on lemmy.world since lemm.ee is taking awhile to confirm the new account.

There’s another entry for discussion_languages
under my_user
but it’s entirely empty.
The JSON goes upto 183. Another screenshot of the settings for the new test account (none of the other languages are selected by default either).
The amount of time and effort needed to go through an Arch installation and succeeding probably is more therapeutic than paying $100 for a session of therapy. It’s enough to make them finally come out after all 🤷
I see, thank you for cross checking with me.
Woah thanks! This should make things much better.
Maybe that’s an instance-dependent thing.
I can’t check all instances so I suppose that maybe possible but I’ve tried 4 and each one has been the same, but since you hadn’t had this issue I suppose I can chalk it up to bad luck. Still needs fixing though, I’m not the only one who faced this and lemmy.world and lemm.ee both have this issue, 2 of the most popular instances according to fedidb.
It’s interesting because a lot of non-English speaking communities complain about users downvoting their content because they don’t understand it
From what I understand after reading that thread, a significant portion of users are downvoting just because they don’t like seeing any other language than their preferred one(English?). But that’s a stupid way of going about it, just message the posters to let them know about tagging it with it’s proper language or just block the user. Pointlessly downvoting everything you see won’t get the message accross.
Very true, I saw a post about censorship posted on !mildlyinfuriating@lemmy.world that happened in !comics@lemmy.ml (instead of another instance with the same subject community) possibly because of this reason OP mentioned. This complaint post was also deleted from the community because it was violating the rules which I suppose it was since this was the reason:
The title of the post in the picture above was the reason given by the comics mod:
My unpopular opinion however is that simply de-federating won’t help as it just promotes those instances into becoming louder echo chambers. I think the simpler solution would be to have a dedicated community for mod abuse (I’m aware of !modabuse@lemmy.world but .world blocked /c/piracy so…) , so users can be aware of said issues and create or migrate to different communities as we see fit. Besides, users can simply block entire instances for themselves. Please don’t comment on the paradox of tolerance as I just mentioned blocking for oneself already.
P.S.
Devs please make it easier to browse the modlog, having to press the next button is bafflingly tedious. I had to resort to editing the url to browse faster, add a jump to by time/date or something.
