It’s thicc.
It’s thicc.
So THIS is what the communists were talking about when they told me about the benefits of transitioning to a cacheless society!
That’s my take. I use a CBD vape or oil for arthritis pain and it noticably makes a difference. The oil takes awhile to kick in but it makes me get pretty goofy at higher doses, even without THC in it.
I like to think that a lot of the more “Reddity” Reddit refugees from .world, those who tend toward pearl clutching theatrics like these posts, will eventually head back to Reddit. Maybe they’ll find their perfect alternative, where there are no dev or admin issues and everyone has a comforting (for them) center-left to center-right, Western ideology driven political stance that never challenges their preconceptions.
This is why STEM education is important. You clearly learned from yours and that’s awesome!
“Anything I don’t like is a tankie”, Lemmy politics equivalent to the right wing’s use of woke.
Followed by the 30,000x version of “they wouldn’t have died if they just did what the police told them!”
Yep, it’s indeed an issue. Modifying our vehicles, like what you did, is the best alternative.
They all do it, to varying extents. The only good way to avoid it is buying a car old enough to not collect your data.
My wife and I had just moved and were living in my relative’s field in a 5th wheel while we arranged to have a house built. The pandemic hit and construction immediately stopped, so we continued living in that 5th wheel for another six months. The two of us, a dog, and three cats. I shockingly didn’t get laid off but didn’t have any work to do, so I just slept and played video games.
We bought a house in June, at the very bottom of our market. We couldn’t afford our house now, even if interest rates were still super low. We definitely couldn’t afford to build the house we could have afforded to build in early 2020, despite making nearly twice as much as when we first moved here. Fuck this economy.
Anyhow… We moved in, then the whole west coast lit on fire. The skies were dark purple some days. It was wild. I still didn’t have much to do at work, so video games and naps it was. I found a half face respirator and a cache of P100 filter cartridges while unpacking, so I got to go around feeling invincible for the rest of the pandemic. That was nice.
Whenever there’s any question, I usually open with “sup, dogs” in my most serious voice, then continue to deadpan refer to everyone as dog, such as “and you, dog, I need to check the grist mill, thank you dog”. Fifteen years in and no complaints so far.

Dammit, now I need to explain to the other people I’m at dinner with why I’m crying. Thanks, you’re right and I needed to hear this.
I think video is a great idea. I’m going to do one a day, just about what has been going on, five minutes or less. I also need to start keeping a dairy diary, so this will knock out both at once.
Edit: I am not a rancher.

Aww shit. I have a health condition so my wife is extremely likely to outlive me, probably by decades. I should start recording videos for her.
Or should I? I want her to move on after I go and I don’t want to interfere with that. Dying sucks.
Loving it, keep up the good work.
Clearly someone who disagrees with you or calls out your…checks notes… bad behavior must support genocidal regimes. It’s only natural!
Why is it those who make arguments about logic so often are completely lacking in the ability to use it?
Jokes on them - all of my content is both free and ad free. 🏴☠️🦜🏴☠️
