Yeah, I’m assuming most people are American or European. I think 40% is a high estimate, but even among the lactose intolerant people I know in real life, I’ve never met one who thinks drinking milk is weird. Most even consume dairy products, just lactose-free versions or enduring the consequences.

It’s very hard to have glass in single-stream recycling. Glass inevitably shatters and gets mixed with tiny bits of paper making it worse than new glass and really increases the work required for the whole recycling process. It’s great to recycle in a dual-stream system, but if you can put your glass and paper in the same bin, it’s about as difficult to recycle as plastic is.

This is just more misinformation, actually. Thanksgiving festivals were common in Europe before the colonization of America. See Lammas and Horkey. The settlers just continued their traditions in America. The native Americans had similar traditions, but the idea wasn’t anything new to Europeans. Canada’s Thanksgiving has moved around a lot over the years, but its current day was chosen to separate it from Remembrance Day. Its timing has nothing to do with Native holidays.

Almost nothing will be true about all the cultures of an entire continent. The Pilgrims primarily interacted with the Wampanoags, but they didn’t have a written language and there’s certainly no evidence their tribe existed for 25,000 years.

The Iroquois Confederacy itself was only formed about 1450. If you read the Great Law of Peace, it bears no resemblance to the US Constitution. Calling it plagiarism is ridiculous. There are not even any significant references to the Iroquois by Congress in the 1780s. This is another modern myth which originated in the last hundred years. The Iroquois constitution wasn’t even written for a democracy.

As of 8½ years ago, you can’t buy keys from Steam, although they still allow developers to generate keys for use on other sites that still use them.
How would requiring keys to be declared help? The people using the keys are all innocent (or at least largely ignorant) buyers. Steam can already see who those are, but that doesn’t stop the sale or say who sold them.
The problem is rather the opposite. The keys are secure and their sale is decentralized, which gives limited control over them. People generate the keys with stolen credit cards, and then resell them. The Postal devs are basically admitting they are giving up trying to actually go after the thieves, but it is genuinely hard to figure out which keys are legit and which are stolen, especially when it’s someone else selling them. All you’re proposing is to make it impossible to revoke a key even if you know it’s illegal.
The actual way to prevent this theft would be to forbid merchants from generating keys at all, and go to a fully centralized model like Steam and Epic generally use.
Libraries buy licenses to do so from the publishers, but that’s unrelated to what I said.
