The replacement knot for my disintegrating Zenith
has finally made it here from wintry Canada and I couldn’t wait for Tuesday to give it a run at the Stank Tank®.
I don’t have a lot of experience breaking in new badgers (this is only third new badger I’ve tried), but this thing didn’t stink when it got wet for the first time, it whipped up lather with now difficulty at all, and it lost less than a dozen bristles, so I’d say that’s a good start. It’s a bit on the floppy side, but there’s no easy fix for that without deepening the shallow borehole. The knot is set with silicone, so that’s still an option if I still think it’s floppy later.
New knot, who dis?
