Another fantastic shave with the Fatip Gentile. Now that I’ve used it twice, I’m somewhat of an expert.
Blade alignment has always been poor on Fatips, requiring manual intervention. You can always get them aligned, but they don’t naturally fall into place like with most other razors.
The Gentile is an improvement in this department, not because the blade does a better job aligning itself (it still sucks there), but because there’s a visual reference to help center it. Open Comb Fatip’s leave you darting your eyes back and forth, trying to decide if both sides are even. The Gentile safety bar has a visual line on each side that you can line the blade up with. It makes the process much easier.
