    • Brush: Zenith 508A XL/Bristle (B35) (MOAR BOAR) 31mm
    • Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (I-2)
    • Blade: Personna 74 (23)
    • Lather: Chiseled Face - Sherlock - Soap
    • Post Shave: Chatillon Lux - Sni Mato - Aftershave

Sherlock is a popular scent from the Chiseled Face lineup. I only have a sample, but I do think eventually I’ll own a tub of it.

This Gillette Slim Adjustable was my first ever DE! I skipped the zamak DE89 clones and went straight to the good stuff… only later to get a handful of zamak razors, which I also like.

When I got this razor, the safety bars were crooked. I think this is a very common problem for Gillette TTO’s, and they probably came from the factory like that. This razor is in really great shape, but it’s also possible that it was dropped at some point. Either way, I spent some time a while back bending the safety bars to where they should be. I referenced an online table of factory blade gaps for Gillette razors, and used a feeler gauge to get setting 1 as close to where it should be as possible. Without making these adjustments, the razor still shaved great… but I can take pride having everything straight and accurate.

Good shave today. A smooth gentle razor was what I needed after the rough shave yesterday.

I enjoyed using @visceralwatch’s aluminum overlander. I agree, it’s smooth and gentle. What kind of metal is your made out of?
