I haven’t exactly been on top of my shaving posts this month, as life got a bit in the way, but I definitely didn’t want to miss out on this round of BVWSC. A big thank-you to @walden@sub.wetshaving.social for generously donating APR’s Raconteur to the mix. It’s always an honor to showcase something from a maker whose work has become a bit of a legend in the Wetshaving world.
My APR experience is limited, mostly because I was still fumbling with my first safety razor when Dan’s masterpieces were in full swing. But every one I’ve tried has been a knockout, and Raconteur is no exception. It’s a wild, animalistic ride through smoky leather, spicy cedarwood, and a hint of civet that keeps you guessing. Complex, dynamic, and unmistakably APR.

Thursday, June 12 is Accountabilibuddies! in the Lather Games. Does anyone want to do a quasi-BVWSC shave, or does everyone already have their LG roster filled out?
Maybe we could settle on a scent that at least a few of us already have on hand to avoid post office delays.
I have a similar tracker in Airtable that I started a few years ago, but I outgrew their free plan a while ago (4000+ rows). I’ve been looking at SeaTable, NocoDB, and Baserow to migrate my data to recently, but keep running into various limitations. I like what you are doing here with the self-hosted option.

Daily Theme: I was looking forward to today’s theme mainly because the crew (u/BossHoggins10, u/djundjila, and u/snoo-ting) over at the Lemmy Wetshaving instance had decided to use SSL, and you can’t go wrong with SSL. I also tried to match their hardware as well using the CF Legacy and a RDC brush.
Daily Challenge: A huge shout out to the Buena Vista Wetshaving Social Club (BVWSC) on Lemmy! Once a month, we all get together and try out a new soap the group votes on—kind of like today’s theme.
