I’m enjoying this March Madness soap tournament. We parallel the college basketball tournament that shares the name by publicizing the draw and the seed rankings within that draw. I’ve been wondering about a couple of things:
Do you think the outcome on a particular day is influenced by knowing the seed of the soap they are using, and subconsciously trying to pick a winner?
What is the variation in participation day-to-day? I imagine some people participate only on days where they own soaps from both manufacturers and can “vote” for their choice, whereas others participate if they own one of the soaps and can “vote” regardless of what the other is.
I’m definitely consciously trying to pick a winner
Except for me, I think most people are. I’m wondering how the seed value affects peoples choices and whether there would be different results if matchups were posted without ranking and in a way that ranking could not be inferred from position within the draw (tennis term).
Yup, Stirling is here to stay for now.

Good question. I’ll ask the DjSIA when Djunior’s asleep.

Welp, I passed out with Djunior yesterday, and today I’m also super tired. I’ll give it another try tomorrow. 😅
No worries! Enjoy the weekend with your family. That’s far more important!
