Twenty-third Day of Getting a Grip on TabOKtoberfest
Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts Tabak Oridjinal
Razor: Henkotsu Kamisori
Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
I’d describe using this kamisori definitely not yet as autopilot, but “routine” feels right. #Progress
Stank ++;
Edit: our Lemmy seems super responsive since the migration. Thanks, @walden@sub.wetshaving.social, for pushing for self hosting! (and for doing the work, of course!)
I’m sure it helps that it’s geographically closer to our users in Europe! We could move it even closer very easily. They have a “snapshot” function which allows transfer of the entire disk to another server.
@djundjila was equally to blame for the successful (so far) move. I learned a lot from him about shoring up the security of some stuff, which I plan on implementing with other services that I host for myself and have exposed to the web.

I’ll look for datacentres in the centre of Lausanne 👍
If none of our users have a ping of less than 2ms, what’s the point?
Yes. Much better. The slow responsiveness was getting annoying. Thank you @walden@sub.wetshaving.social!

Glad I could help! And it was fun!
