I think the dupe is pretty good. Lacks the depth and sophistication, but that is to be expected. I really like SMW. When I first tried it I thought it was too mild in scent strength but that’s the American in me. I’ve become a bit more worldly fragrance-wise since. It is worth trying a decant I’d say.
Love that razor! Mountain Man followed by actual Silver Mountain Water is pretty good too, though the freshness of Shire is hard to beat.
