Does Lemmy use the same markdown as Reddit? Can I take my wetshaving database Reddit markdown and just copy paste it here like I do with the Reddit sotd’s?
I’ll test it myself later today and answer my own question if nobody beats me to it.

Ok, very strange. If I type a single asterisk then click the bold icon it works. If I type asterisk space double asterisk it fails and takes away previous bullets, but bolds anything between double asterisks.

Ok maybe I figured it out. I double enter each line on Reddit, but if I do that here, the bullets break, but the bold stays.

I find that Lemmy uses pretty much the same markdown syntax; at least for my typical SOTD posts.
Just tested it myself for my SotD and it’s pretty much the same. Copy pasting from wetshaving database definitely works the same anyways.
So depending on how the reddit stuff goes down is there any chance of including Lemmy SOTD posts in LG judging?
