    Sep 4, 2023 - Sample September/Mammoth Monday: Dammusi

    • Prep: Coffee
    • Prep: Klar - Activated Charcoal - Face Soap
    • Brush: Farvour Turn Craft Eye of Jupiter 27mm Motherlode Knot
    • Razor: Wolfman Razors WR4 (Aluminum)
    • Blade: Feather Artist Club Professional [2]
    • Lather: House of Mammoth - Dammusi - Soap
    • Post Shave: Gentleman’s Nod - Calabria - Aftershave
    • Fragrance: Gentleman’s Nod - Musashi - Eau de Parfum

It’s #mammothmonday in #sampleseptember, and today’s sample is Dammusi. The scent is beautiful. I really want to love it, but I think it’s just too powdery for me. I’m curious if the aftershave has the same powdery-forward notes.

The WR4 was a quick, smooth shaver. I still need to find a snazzy aluminum handle to use instead of the Razorock stainless steel handle. The balance is off just enough that it’s noticeable during the shave.

Calabria offered a citrus-forward, Mediterranean escape. An excellent new scent from GN. While Calabria’s opening is much brighter, I thought I picked up some heart notes that were similar to Musashi. As such, I used the Musashi fragrance as well.

    Rating: 4.5/5

I’m surprised that Calabria isn’t a chilli scent, they put that in everything, including ice cream 😅

😂 Now you have me wondering if there are any good chili scented soaps.

Abbate Y La Mantia’s Vulcano 💖 (Warning, for some, the anise note is stronger than the chilli. In my nose, it’s mostly a chilli scent)

Thanks for the suggestion. I need to explore more of the AylM product line.
