    Rinse, Repeat

    • Brush: Stirling Soap Co. Zenith Boar Brush 31mm × 50mm
    • Razor: Koraat Sparschweinchen (7/8", “Sheffield-style” full hollow, carbon steel)
    • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. Friends to the End
    • Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co. Friends to the End
    • Fragrance: Stirling Soap Co. Friends to the End
    • Talc: Pinaud Clubman Finest Powder

Same setup as yesterday. The Koraat is a really pleasant razor.

Edit: My shaving result was criticised by Djunior. My chin wasn’t smooth enough for his high standards

Perhaps influenced by HD Shaves latest installment on YouTube, I chose Raconteur today. There’s about 6"-7" of snow on the ground and it’s still coming down, so a warm scent was just right.

I have this Game Changer on loan from OrganMeat. It pairs well with this blade. Seemed easier and less blade feely than with other blades.

    • Brush: Yaqi 26mm Synthetic
    • Razor: Karve Overlander
    • Blade: Tatara [3]
    • Lather: 345 - RKY MTN Tree Line - Soap
    • Post Shave: 345 - RKY MTN Tree Line - Aftershave

Good shave. This scent is the current house 2nd favourite next to Fleur De France. This blade seems a bit dull but it could be me.

    • Prep: hot shower
    • Brush: Yaqi Cashmere Synthetic Shaving Brush, Dandelion Green Handle, 24mm
    • Razor: Gillette Aristocrat (1948-50)
    • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Leviathan Shaving Soap
    • Post Shave: Zingari Man - The Watchman - After Shave Balm

This is my first time using my Aristocrat since “fixing” it. The end caps came off so I used epoxy to glue them back on. Unfortunately it seems I used too much epoxy because the doors no longer open all the way from the twisting mechanism. They open partway, and then I have to use my hands to get them fully open. This doesn’t affect the shave at all but I’m hoping something can be done about this. I’m hoping that with a few uses the stiffness will work itself out, but I don’t know if that’s realistic. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Is the obstruction accessible? Can it be carefully filed down?

That’s a good thought, but no not really. It’s not a big deal, I was just a little disappointed to discover that it doesn’t open as smoothly as it once did. Maybe it’ll get better over time.

    • Brush: Wald Stratos Goldvein 29mm A1 Fan

    • Razor: River Razor 14 8/8" Full Hollow

    • Lather: PannaCrema - Nuàvia Nera - Soap

    • Toner: Thayers - Lemon - Toner

    • Aftershave: PannaCrema - Nuàvia Nera - Balm

    • Fragrance: Creed Silver Mountain Water

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was my first shave with Nuàvia Nera. Loved it. There are a lot of fragrance notes in this, but the top notes are described as “Fresh and Green”. This really comes across. I purchased this soap and balm at a high discount. I think PannaCrema is going to stop making shaving soaps (or perhaps going out of business). This is a real shame. Their scents are great and their vegetal soap base is pretty luxurious.

Oh, what a shame that they are going out of business already. Feels like they just started yesterday.

Unfortunately not. Only some post shave balms

Though the vegetal soap base is very nice, I think it is the scents that are worth trying and the balms certainly carry the scents better than the soaps do.

    • Prep: warm water
    • Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    • Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
    • Brush: AP Shave Co. Snakeskin w/ 26 mm Flattop/Fan hybrid
    • Lather: Speick shaving cream
    • Post Shave: Dick Johnson’s God Spray; Phytorelax Headshave ASB

Haven’t posted in a while, although I did a few mediocre shaves since we’ve arrived at Liebenstein. The internship is so-so; tons of interesting medical stuff but not much to do for me. It was only the second day though, I have hope that I’ll become better accustomed to everything.

1 pass head shave, nice smooth dome. I brought the brush, black plastic Wilkinson Classic razor and the blades with me, but only bought the Speick cream today. I had an awful brushless cream before and it just didn’t do anything justice. Today was much better and way more comfortable…
