Amazing shave. I refreshed the edge on this razor last night. It is the first time that I’ve sharpened it. I put a synthetic edge on it and used my September method; drawing the edge out on the finishing stone and nanocloth, then micro-convexing with stropping on linen and leather. This time around I used more laps and less pressure on the final stropping. The edge was extraordinary. Its feel was so light and soft I was certain that I had dulled the edge, even though I knew that it tested at an ultra sharp level. But, when feeling around after the first pass I confirmed that I’m on to something with this method.
Bloom is a Black Orchid dupe. MSC, Koraat, and Wald are one-man operations. I enjoy supporting these very talented artisans.

This shave concludes BBS November for me. I’ve really enjoyed digging through my den and come up with the 60 scent combinations.
Congrats! It has been a lot of fun to play along this month. I don’t know why more folks don’t do this.
Yes, congrats to you too! And it was fun to have a fellow traveler on this year’s journey! ☺️

I couldn’t decide on whether to use Woodshop or P+S, so why not both? There may be an unintended dark theme that developed from the pairing, but the undercurrent of bourbon in both scents allowed them to work well together.

A short head shave plus a bit of detail work around the beard. 1 pass only for both, mostly WTG. I currently don’t have a lot of motivation to shave because of nerves, but I hope this will get better soon.
My resignation letter wasn’t that well received, but anyway - I now only have December left there and two weeks of it will be filled with an internship elsewhere. I also have an appointment to sign my new contract next Tuesday, so everything will hopefully go fine…
F*** your old employer🖕 Soon it will all be bad memories
You’re right, f*ck them with their stupidity!
However, I can still keep some nice and funny memories - neither my coworkers nor the residents are responsible for the bullshit the executives are doing there. It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t keep my favourite colleagues with me, but we’ll keep in touch outside of work (thanks to modern technology).

I will be taking an 11 month hiatus from shaving twice-daily. This evening was the last shave of this year’s BBS November. Apparently, this started as a conversation between u/VisceralWatch and @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social. I don’t know if others were involved. If you’re wondering what it’s like, well, if you can shave daily, you can do this. I mean if I can do this, how hard can it be?
Hiatus, the soap, uses the Crème Fraîche base. This is top-tier, and wonderful to use. I very much appreciate how Sri continues to improve his products. Another small business appreciation shave for me.
Yes, I was doing a few Second Luxury Shaves® in October 2021, (i.e., the dark ages before the creation of TabOktoberfest), and VisceralWatch commented on it. It got me wondering whether shaving twice a day is really as big of a deal as some make it out to be, and the rest is history🙂
I was lurking on r/Wetshaving in 2021, but don’t recall whether I saw this or not. I certainly noticed in 2022 and thought it would be a great way to get skin irritation. I answered my own question this year. I’d say my skin today is as good, or better, than it was on Nov 1.
Glad to read that you found the same answer I did :)
