    • Razor: EldrormR Industries - GEM Division: MM24
    • Blade: Personna #GEM PTFE
    • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. Varen
    • Aftershave: Mennen Skin Bracer

Today I’m actually using an MM24 for my #PracticeMMarch24 post. It’s always a pleasure to use u/EldrormR’s little Frankenrazor.

I just got two new GEMs which I’m excited to use. Luckily I have a few days to honeymoon with them before March starts.

Edit: A Flying Wing (Guiding Eye?) and a Damaskeene since you’ll probably want to know.

        The Flying Wing is great!

I started on the wrong foot with it, almost dismissing it as too mild. @merikus@sub.wetshaving.social then convinced he to give it another try. A few uses later it became one of my favourites and we even started the MMMMFF thing in appreciation for it.

    • Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic
    • Razor: GEM Damaskeene
    • Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (8)
    • Lather: Noble Otter - Logbook - Soap
    • Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
    • Fragrance: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - EdT

I have u/visceralwatch to thank for getting this Damaskeene (and also a Flying Wing). This Dammy is the mild GEM that I’ve been yearning for! Reading through u/eldrormr’s guide to these razors, it seems like maybe I can acquire even more Damaskeene razors and find one that’s even better, but this one felt great. The efficiency was fine, but required a bit of buffing which I don’t mind one bit.

I have a Damaskeen that I only use to remember my father’s birthday. (He was born in 1912). I find that it shaves well, but that I prefer the more noticeable blade feel from a MMOC.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I almost forgot to post this shave. If I don’t post right after shaving there’s a good likelihood I’ll forget. Anyway, I enjoy El Dorado. It is a very nice soap with a subtle and somehow comforting fragrance.
