I got my replacement tub of Varen the other day so it’s time vor Varen Vriday again. Vondervul!

Varen was one of the very first samples I got from Stirling, and when I started wetshaving that’s all I used – samples. My initial impression of the scent was such a mixed bag. I wanted to like it, there was something weird about it… Over time it grew on me, and now (especially with the aftershave and EdT) it’s my favorite scent in all of wetshaving.

I was initially scared off by the oakmoss warning (My wife was pregnant with Djunior), so I came late to the party. I just checked, in December 2021 u/fuckchalzone paired it with Beaudelare and u/VisceralWatch was super impressed by the apparent audacity of this choice. I got curious, tried it, loved it .
It just occurred to me that as of my Thursday mail call, I actually can reproduce that pairing with Beaudelaire!

Wonderful shave to lead into the weekend! Aranceto shares a number of scent notes with Roman Spice and, while different, these two scents complement each other brilliantly. [take note @whosgotthepudding].
